Description/Job Summary

Job Summary:  Primary responsibility to work with operations to continuously improve efficiency and product quality.  Work with maintenance department to improve reliability and troubleshoot issues.  Identify process improvement projects, develop process controls and monitoring for rice processing and milling.  Mentor other plant engineers.


Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing or related industry setting.
  • Must possess a minimum of B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Biological related field from a 4-year accredited university or college.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess working knowledge of computers.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, twist, turn, push, pull and crawl throughout the day.
  • Must be willing and able to ride man-lifts.
  • Must be willing and able to climb to and work at heights up to 200 feet.
  • Must be willing and able to work in hot and cold temperatures for long periods of time.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.

Preferences:

  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft programs, spreadsheets, database, scheduling programs, PLC's and familiarity with current drafting software.
